The color! The light! This is my favorite time of the year in New England. In my neighborhood, I am lucky to be able to enjoy the changing colors and be with nature. As practitioner of sorts of Shinrin-yoku [(shinrin, “forest”) + (yoku, “bath, bathing.”), also known as forest bathing, is a practice or process of therapeutic relaxation where one spends time in a forest or natural atmosphere, focusing on sensory engagement to connect with nature.], I spend a lot of times outdoors. As the saying goes, ‘moving is medicine’, so out and about I go.
One of my favorite places to visit all through the year is Roger Williams Park. Just a mere 15 minute drive from the west side of Providence. It offers all kinds of tranquility and celebration. Recently, I recruited a few friends to join me for a walk there. The color! The light!

As 2024 races to a close, I am looking forward to some exciting updates at Bell Street Chapel in 2025. I am working with Kristi, our amazing Music Director, on a special project to have our amazing organ repaired. I am also connecting with some local community folks to see how we can bring back theatre to Eddy Hall.
In the meantime, I hope you will join us on Sundays at 10 am to learn, laugh, and connect. On the first Sunday of the month, we head downstairs to Eddy Hall for Coffee Hour. Some time to socialize and spend time with one another. Please join us!
