Bell Street Chapel is currently closed. All meetings and events have been cancelled.

The Bell Street Chapel Board of Directors has concluded that we are unable to comply with the cleaning requirements required by the state for reopening. As a result, we will not be opening our building for rental or use until at least January or until some form of vaccine or effective treatment is widely available. We are unwilling to risk infection in our community and our neighborhood and we are committed to caring for those who are most vulnerable to the corona virus.

If you’d like to join us for our weekly virtual worship service, please send an email to BellStreetOffice (at) gmail (dot) com with a subject line: “E-Newsletter”. We would love to see you there!

Please practice physical distancing.
Stay socially connected.

Our mission

Welcome all people into our loving community; nurture each other; deepen our spirituality together and; work for peace and social justice by dismantling the culture of white supremacy.

Worship at Bell Street Chapel

Bell Street Chapel is a religious community where free inquiry and a life-long search for truth are respected and encouraged. We are a welcoming, joyful, multi-generational, and social justice seeking Unitarian Universalist congregation. We support ethical and intentional living, encourage wonder and awe, and believe in our interdependence and the power of love. If you are looking for a spiritual or religious home, we hope you will find one with us!

Currently, we are holding virtual services. Once we reopen, please join us for worship, Sundays at 10:00 am at 5 Bell Street in Providence. Childcare is available every week. Children are always welcome in the sanctuary during worship.
