With the Supreme Court now deciding the fate of the DACA [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals] program, and the state taking over management of the Providence public schools, our upcoming conversation on how our educational systems serve – or neglect to serve – the needs of our community’s many immigrant students could not be more timely. Join us at Bell Street Chapel next Tuesday, November 19, for “Who Can Know?” Immigration and Education, the latest program in our “Within a Lifetime: Immigration and the Changing City” series, funded in part by the RI Council for the Humanities.
